Find where your nipples are. That’s the spot where the lungs expand to the fullest. At your sternum, where the ribs cage meets is where you will find the bottom of your lungs. Feel these areas while you are breathing in and out and learn them.

Tips to a Better Band?

Looking for some advice. I’m in a band and I’ve been elected the leader. I really don’t know how to do this. I’ve never had a job where I’ve been the boss, and I have not had success in relationships. I have absolutely no idea how to run a rock band. But they seem to think that I’m the most qualified of all the band members to run this band. Have you seen any books, or any YouTube videos that might give me some pointers? Is it possible to pick this up as you go along, or do you need some kind of leadership training?

The band wants to get tighter, get more musical, and start doing shows on the road, and they’re looking to me to lead all this. I can figure out how to do it if I have a lot of time, but my time is limited with my day job.

Any advice is appreciated.

Interesting Classical Song

My family had a family party the other day. My dad likes to play some boring classical music in the background while we just sit around, chat, and eat. We somehow ended up talking about it, and guess what. We found out that the piano was actually a digital piano.

It was weird. When you hear a classical song, you expect an acoustic piano. You simply expect traditional instruments and techniques, but this was not the case. This particular song was played with a digital piano. How did we know? Well, aside from this being one of the “fun facts”, it was also painfully obvious. The music does not sound anywhere near as good with a digital piano. It’s just not as “epic”.

Although digital pianos are great, they should not be used to play classical music. Digital pianos have a purpose, and that is to be used for recording purposes. I hope that I never have to witness another classical song being played by a digital piano again.
